Ever since he decided to pick up an instrument at the age of 13, music has been a continually evolving passion for Marcos. From his start as a guitar player in bands throughout his teenage years, playing worship music, to later moving on as a bassist then drummer and beginning to compose his own music. Soon after he began expanding his influences and playing outside of rock/metal genres and moved to rap/R&B, having worked with Dallas producers Sup3r8 and Ponder.
Being influenced by artists like Kevin Parker and Prince, he was inspired by the idea of creating an entire world of his own through the art of audio production. Beginning his formal training that year at MediaTech institute in Dallas, taking what he has learned from the past decade and using it craft his own body of work and begin working with clients. He is currently working with DFW based artist Joseph Fisher-Schramm on a project that is set to release on Joseph’s independent label A Study In Expression, for early 2021.
Marcos is currently building his own studio near Mansfield, Texas and looking to start booking clients for late 2021.
Musical Style
Most recently, Marcos been working in the Post-Metal genre, however he also enjoys working on alternative, indie, psychedelic and other experimental types of music. Having such a great appreciation for iconic albums throughout the decades as well as current releases from newer artists, his approach to sound is one that aims to keep the sonic elements of the past while taking advantage of the unprecedented functionality and complexity modern technology offers.
